Tokyo September 2019

In September 2019, I spent ten days exploring Tokyo. In the morning I trained at Axis Jiu Jitsu and then I spent my afternoons walking around the streets of Tokyo taking photos and finding delicious food. Tokyo is one of my all time favorite places for street photography because there is always something down every street and you never know what you are going to find.

Best Ramen in Tokyo!

At least once a day in Tokyo I ate a bowl of ramen. On our way to Kappabashi, an area in Tokyo that sells a bunch of japanese knives, we stumbled across this ramen place. There was a huge line of locals and so we decided to give it a try. When we reached the front of the line, the menu was all in Japanese. Fortunately one of the employees spoke a little bit of english. He told us to order what they called “Crazy Crab”. This was the best bowl of ramen I have ever had. I usually order the spicy tonkotsu ramen and this bowl was nothing like that. The broth was buttery with a hint of sweet crab flavor and it was topped off with some thin noodles and pork. Just fantastic.
